About Kamloops Wine Trail
The Kamloops Wine Trail features a collective of innovative, family-owned wineries located in the breathtaking Thompson Valley of British Columbia. This emerging wine region is dedicated to offering an authentic and personalized winery experience, showcasing a diverse array of premium wines. Each winery reflects the unique terroir of Kamloops, known for producing fresh, crisp whites and vibrant sparkling wines, alongside robust fruit-forward reds. Notable varietals include Riesling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, among others.
Since the establishment of the first commercial vineyards in 2005 and the opening of the first winery, Harper’s Trail Estate Winery, in 2012, the Kamloops Wine Trail has blossomed into a recognized appellation. The formation of the Kamloops Wine Association in 2015 further solidified this collective, promoting the region’s rich history and cultural tapestry. Visitors can explore the natural beauty, outdoor adventures, and local culinary delights that make Kamloops an exceptional wine destination, easily accessible from various parts of British Columbia and beyond.
