Kammbegegnungen

Natura Miriquidica e. V. is a nonprofit association that has worked since 2007 to promote environmentally conscious thinking and practical nature conservation in Germany’s Ore Mountains.

Based in Pobershau, the organization combines conservation projects with public outreach and environmental education, aiming to involve people of all ages in caring for the region’s natural landscapes. Its work includes habitat management, such as maintaining mountain meadows, and activities focused on amphibians, butterflies, gardens and native rowan trees. A particular priority is engaging children and young people through nature clubs, the Young Nature Rangers program, research activities, educational programs, talks, school trips and holiday camps.

The association also operates the Kammbegegnungen nature hostel in Rübenau, a meeting and learning venue with accommodation, rooms, outdoor space and a campsite. It offers nature-based programs for diverse audiences, led by experienced environmental educators, and provides facilities for group stays and educational visits.
