Kampfwerk

Kampfwerk – Ving Tsun in Nürnberg is a nonprofit sports association dedicated to teaching Ving Tsun Kuen Kung Fu in the traditional lineage of Yip Man, Wong Shun Leung, Barry Lee and Bill Dowding. Ving Tsun is a southern Chinese martial art, known for its short, direct movements and close-range approach. The association offers structured training for learners, combining physical warm-ups with practice of forms and related partner exercises.

A central element is Chi Sao, a specialized sensitivity exercise that develops efficient Ving Tsun hand techniques through contact and the exchange of force with a training partner. Sessions begin with clearly guided drills and combinations, which become progressively more open as students develop. Kampfwerk follows traditional Chinese and Hong Kong teaching methods and encourages participants to build the fitness needed to support their practice.

Its website provides information about the club, training times, instructors, its training space and contact details, alongside articles and interviews on Ving Tsun and practitioners such as Wong Shun Leung and Barry Lee
