The Kanagawa Prefecture Karate Federation is the official organization supporting karate across Kanagawa, Japan. Established on January 25, 1965, it coordinates a broad range of activities for athletes, clubs, officials, and other members of the karate community. Its work is organized through specialist committees covering coaching, examinations and ranks, refereeing, competitions, athlete development, membership, communications, women’s participation, and masters and junior programs.

The federation publishes event schedules, competition notices, results, referee resources, training information, and guidance on registration with both the prefectural federation and the Japan Karate Federation. Its events include prefectural championships and youth competitions, while its reports also cover regional and national tournaments. Members can access forms and documents for individual and group registration, and affiliated organizations may apply to borrow federation mats, subject to availability. The federation also shares information about athlete selection, coaching and referee development, and social contribution initiatives, including volunteer activities and hair donation. News, updates, and international martial arts exchange reports are available through its website and official social media channels.
