Kane Family Foundation

Kane Family Foundation Inc. is a philanthropic organization focused on helping Southern Colorado students achieve independence through education. Founded through the generosity of Wanden and Andy Kane of Fountain, Colorado, the foundation supports students with merit-based scholarships at seven participating institutions: the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, Colorado State University Pueblo, Lamar Community College, Otero College, Pikes Peak State College, Pueblo Community College, and Trinidad State College.

Each year, the foundation awards approximately 40 new scholarships, offering both four-year and two-year awards. It provides about $1.3 million in scholarship funding annually to the participating schools to cover the costs of these programs. The foundation’s work aims to help students complete their educational goals by making financial support available through its partner institutions. Its website shares scholarship information, the foundation’s history, and stories about alumni and scholars. Since the program began, approximately $20 million has been awarded, reflecting the foundation’s sustained investment in educational opportunity and the Southern Colorado community.
