Kangamiut Group A

Kangamiut Group is an international seafood group built around partnerships, product knowledge, reliable delivery, and responsive service. Founded through Kangamiut Seafood, established in 1975, the group works through subsidiaries and associated companies that manage commercial and logistical operations independently, supported by group-level administrative and financial services. Its partner network spans Denmark, Norway, France, Chile, and Greenland, connecting producers, processors, and seafood markets.

The group’s companies supply a broad range of wild-caught and frozen fish and shellfish, including cod, haddock, saithe, mackerel, pikeperch, Greenland halibut, snow crab, langoustines, shrimp, scallops, and salmon. Activities include seafood sourcing, import, processing, production, marketing, and sales. Some partners specialize in particular fisheries or products, while Freshpack focuses on importing, producing, and marketing frozen foods.

Kangamiut promotes responsible fishing and supports supplier certification efforts. It identifies MSC certification for wild-caught seafood and ASC certification for farmed products as preferred standards, and says the vast majority of its products carry one of these certifications. The group also develops strategic initiatives focused on greener operations.
