About Kangaroo Punch
Kangaroo Punch Studios is an independent software and game development studio focused on retro computing, emulation, and interactive entertainment. Its work spans projects released from the 1980s through the present, including programming tools, libraries, games, and emulators. Recent offerings include a C compiler and programming library for the Foenix F256 family of modern retro computers, accompanied by an installer, examples, and other materials to help users get started.
The studio also develops Singe, a platform for laserdisc-style games, and maintains a library of titles for it. One featured release, Adventures in Videoland: Rollercoaster, reimagines a 1982 text adventure with images and video from the 1977 film Rollercoaster. Other projects listed on the site include JoeyLib, SDI 3D, the ActionMax Emulator, and Snafu Software Shareware Disk.
Kangaroo Punch Studios shares releases, updates, downloads, and project information through its website, with community links to Discord and Matrix. Its catalogue reflects a long-running interest in preserving and creating software experiences inspired by classic computers and games
