**Kangaroo Sanctuary** is a dedicated refuge located in Alice Springs, Australia, founded by Brolga with the mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide sanctuary for orphaned and injured kangaroos. The Sanctuary is home to kangaroos that have been raised by wildlife carers and cannot be released back into the wild due to their socialization with humans or injuries. Brolga’s quest for a kangaroo hospital on-site underscores the organization’s commitment to animal care and welfare.
Famed for its heartfelt mission, Kangaroo Sanctuary gained international recognition through the documentary “Kangaroo Dundee,” showcasing the compassionate work done at the Sanctuary. Beyond rescue efforts, the sanctuary prioritizes education, offering guided tours and programs to inform the public on wildlife conservation.
Visitors can support the sanctuary through donations and involvement in local wildlife care initiatives. With a focus on fostering kindness towards kangaroos and raising awareness about their challenges, Kangaroo Sanctuary serves as a vital haven for these beloved creatures.
