Kaninværnet

Kaninværnet is Denmark's first and only animal welfare organization dedicated exclusively to the welfare of rabbits. Founded to address the severe misunderstandings surrounding these popular pets, Kaninværnet advocates for better living conditions and treatment for rabbits, many of which suffer due to inadequate care and ignorance from their owners. The organization is committed to rescuing abandoned rabbits, promoting proper education on rabbit care, and facilitating adoptions to loving homes.

In addition to its rescue efforts, Kaninværnet provides an array of resources including a learning portal with exclusive content, a rabbit registry for lost and found bunnies, and ongoing support for rabbit care challenges such as health issues and behavior management. They also engage in political activism to protect animal welfare rights. By becoming a member or volunteer, individuals can contribute to Kaninværnet's mission to ensure every rabbit receives the care and understanding it deserves, reinforcing the notion that rabbits are social beings that thrive best in pairs or groups
