Kanta-Hämeen Hengitys

Kanta-Hämeen Hengitys ry is a regional respiratory health association serving people in Finland’s Kanta-Häme area. One of the 80 local associations affiliated with Hengitysliitto, it promotes the right to breathe well and works to improve respiratory health and overall wellbeing. Its activities and information are particularly relevant to people affected by asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sleep apnoea, other lung conditions, poor indoor air or allergies.

The association provides practical information, peer support and inclusive activities for members and the wider community. Its programme includes exercise groups and events, with activities such as gentle movement, water exercise and boccia. It also offers membership benefits and works with other local organisations to support people living with respiratory conditions and help shape a healthier future.

Members and visitors can enjoy Suviranta, the association’s holiday destination by Lake Takajärvi in Hattula, which includes log cabins available for stays. Kanta-Hämeen Hengitys shares event updates and guidance through its website and social media, and welcomes people interested in respiratory health, community and everyday wellbeing.
