About Karamoja Resilience Support Unit
The Karamoja Resilience Support Unit, an initiative of USAID/Uganda, focuses on enhancing resilience and fostering economic development in the Karamoja region of Uganda. Collaborating closely with the Karamoja Development Partners Group, KRSU conducts reviews, studies, and analyses of development programs, humanitarian efforts, and related policy matters in the area. The project, executed by the Feinstein International Center at Tufts University, operates from offices in Kampala and Moroto, Uganda.
Through evidence-based approaches, KRSU aims to bridge the gap between knowledge and action. Their work includes analyzing educational strategies, water and rangeland management, and indigenous early warning systems in the region. Publications delve into pressing issues such as educational challenges, livestock livelihoods, and disaster response mechanisms.
For comprehensive insights into Karamoja's development landscape, KRSU's evidence-based publications serve as valuable resources for policymakers and practitioners alike
