Karate Bruntál

Klub karate-dó Bruntál is a Goju-ryu karate club in Bruntál, Czechia, established in 1990. It teaches the Okinawan style of Goju-ryu, often translated as “hard and soft,” and welcomes children and adults, from complete beginners to experienced competitors. Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at the large gym of SPŠ a OA Bruntál on Kavalcova Street. Sessions are divided by experience, with beginner classes from 5 to 6 p.m. and advanced training from 6 to 7 p.m. New members can visit during a training session, try karate, and speak with the coaches; no previous experience is required.

The club develops practical skills and personal qualities through instruction in fundamental techniques, kata, kumite, self-defence, discipline, and respect. Members may train recreationally or pursue competition, with club athletes participating in national and international events. The club reports world, European, and Czech championship titles, and also hosts rounds of the Goju-ryu National Cup.
