Karate Kontra

Klub Karate Kontra is a physical culture association based in Żary, Poland, focused on promoting traditional Japanese Shotokan karate. The club welcomes children, young people and adults, offering training that develops practical self-defence skills alongside confidence, self-control and effective use of the whole body. Classes are led by Sebastian Końcowik, a fourth-dan karate instructor and medalist at Polish and European championships; individual lessons are also available. Affiliated with Japan Karate Association Polska, the club supports members in learning and practising karate within an established organisation.

Beyond regular training, Klub Karate Kontra organises sports competitions, recreational and cultural events, sports camps and training sessions. Its activities include opportunities to take part in tournaments and group events, bringing together karate practitioners from Poland and neighbouring countries. The club also shares information about class schedules, coaches, camps and its history, and invites families to participate in selected activities. Based in Żary, it serves a broad community of learners, from beginners to experienced karateka, with an emphasis on sport, personal development and shared experiences.
