Karate Polak

SSC Karate Polak, also known as Shotokan Sport Centrum (SSC), is a karate club serving communities in the Česká Lípa region of the Czech Republic. Established in 1991, it describes itself as the area’s longest-standing karate club and brings together sport, friendship, and learning through karate. Its training focuses on WKF sport karate, alongside self-defence and physical preparation. The club also organizes camps, seminars, and competitions, giving members opportunities to develop their skills and take part in a wider sporting community.

SSC holds training sessions in Česká Lípa, Nový Bor, Doksy, and Kravaře, with classes hosted at local schools. Its stated values include respect, teamwork, family, and supportive relationships, reflected in its motto, “We pull together as one belt.” The club has an active competition program, with members participating in regional and national events and earning medals. It also runs a traditional summer training camp in Lindava. The club’s activities receive support from local municipalities, the Liberec Region, and a program of the Czech National Sports Agency.
