Karen Kay Smith

Karen Kay Smith is an author, speaker, and certified transformational life coach who supports women navigating loneliness, uncertainty, and life’s difficult waiting seasons. Drawing on her experience as a caregiver and her Christian faith, she creates spaces for honest conversation, deeper connection, and hope rooted in God’s presence. Her work encourages women to communicate openly, connect with God, and build meaningful community so they do not have to face challenging seasons alone.

Smith offers connection coaching for women seeking faith-centered guidance, clarity, and support, as well as Lonely No More, a guided course designed to help women move from isolation toward belonging through practical tools, community, and gentle accountability. She also leads retreats and speaks at churches, events, and other gatherings, tailoring her messages to each audience.

Her books include Hope Has a Seat in Every Waiting Room, a companion for seasons of waiting, and Nearsighted: Choosing to See Eating Disorders Differently, informed by her personal story and written to support people alongside someone they love.
