Susan Kare is a pioneering computer iconographer who has been designing software icons since 1983. Based in San Francisco, her iconic designs, created on a minimalist pixel grid with precise mosaic-like details, are instantly recognizable to computer users worldwide. Known for her work at Apple, where she designed the distinctive icons for the Macintosh, Susan Kare has since established her own graphics studio, Susan Kare Design, and currently serves as Creative Director at Pinterest.
