About KaribuPads
KaribuPads is a brand dedicated to combating period poverty and breaking the taboo around menstruation in Tanzania. We empower women by providing safe, reusable menstrual products and essential knowledge through awareness sessions. Our mission is to address the challenges faced by many women and girls in Tanzania who struggle to access sanitary products, leading to detrimental health, educational, and economic consequences.
Thanks to generous donations, we train vocational students to manufacture reusable pads, which are then distributed to young girls in need. Each recipient also participates in comprehensive workshops covering hygiene, STDs, and contraception. The pads, made of locally sourced cotton, have a lifespan of approximately two years.
