Kari Haug

Kari Haug Planning & Design, Inc. is a golf course architecture firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, led by sustainable golf course architect Kari Haug. One of the few women working in the field, Haug brings experience as a former collegiate golfer and insight into both competitive and recreational play. Her work emphasizes environmentally sensitive design and improved playability, particularly for women and seniors, while aiming to make golf more inclusive and accessible to players of varied skill levels.

The firm develops golf course designs that balance the game’s heritage with practical play and visual appeal. Haug’s approach combines hand drawings, 3D renderings, and strategic planning, informed by research, published work, and study of historic courses in the United Kingdom. Her practice reflects a commitment to preserving golf’s traditions while considering sustainability and the needs of the wider golfing community. Kari Haug Planning & Design welcomes inquiries from prospective clients through its contact form and can be reached in Minneapolis by phone.
