Karina Johnson

Karina Johnson is a professional figure skating coach and certified Pilates instructor serving skaters in Miami, Florida. A Double U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Free Skating and Skating Skills, she offers individualized private lessons at Miami Ice Arena, formerly Kendall Ice Arena. Coaching is available for children ages five and up, recreational skaters, and athletes pursuing competitive or advanced development. New students begin with an introductory lesson and skill evaluation to determine appropriate placement and training priorities.

Lessons focus on skating fundamentals, edge control, posture, balance, and progressive jump and spin technique, with an emphasis on confidence and sustainable progress. Karina also works with athletic children from dance, ballet, and gymnastics backgrounds, helping them build coordination, flexibility, focus, and body awareness. For competitive skaters, her services include advanced technical coaching, program choreography and artistic design, music selection and editing, and performance strategy informed by judging standards. Pilates principles are incorporated into training to support core strength, alignment, efficient movement, and injury prevention.
