Karnevalverein 1908 Laubach e.V.

Karnevalverein 1908 Laubach e.V. is a longstanding carnival association based in Laubach, founded on February 10, 1908. With around 502 members, the club brings together people of different ages to celebrate local carnival traditions and contribute to community life throughout the year. Its annual carnival programme includes a campaign opening and prince-pair investiture, a prince reception, a major carnival session, Kreppel coffee gathering, town hall takeover, carnival parade, children’s festival and the traditional campaign farewell on Ash Wednesday. The club also produces a yearly Kreppelzeitung.

Members participate through a wide range of groups and teams, including eight dance groups, a men’s ballet troupe, children’s and adult councils, trainers, a stage-building team, photographers and the newspaper team. The association’s activities extend beyond carnival, with participation in Laubach events such as the Festival of Lights and Christmas market, as well as trips and other shared outings. Its dance groups also take part in district and Hessian championships. The club maintains galleries documenting its events and generations of carnival celebrations.
