De Karperhoeve is a welcoming farm and riding centre set in a historic rural environment, where visitors can enjoy open space, animals and the feel of traditional farm life. The property is a national heritage farm dating to 1711, with evidence of a farm on the site as early as 1645. Its animals include horses and ponies, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs and cats.

The riding centre offers lessons for beginners and more experienced riders, particularly children, as well as adults. Lessons include attention to horse care and behaviour, with Freestyle and Joker options intended to help riders better understand their horses. The farm also provides horse and pony boarding, pony hire, walking rides and pony discovery sessions.

For families and groups, De Karperhoeve hosts children’s parties featuring activities such as grooming and riding ponies, vaulting, horse-themed games and outdoor challenges. The venue also offers rentals and a boerenlunch, and organises activities and events, including a farmers’ market, Open Monument Day and NL Doet.
