Karuna Horse Rescue is a nonprofit horse rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary center in Tucson, Arizona. Guided by the principles of life, liberty, and love, the organization provides compassionate care and natural environments for horses rescued from cruelty, neglect, and abandonment. Karuna is a non-working, non-riding sanctuary, so its horses are not used for labor or riding; its focus is their well-being and freedom.

The organization introduces visitors to its rescued horses and team, and shares information about its approach to care, kill pens, and liberty horsemanship. It also offers volunteer opportunities, supported by online resources that include schedules, updates, and practical information. Prospective volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and visits are available by appointment. Karuna communicates news about the herd, veterinary visits, projects, and volunteers through its Facebook page. To support its work, the rescue invites local businesses to participate in monthly sponsorships and encourages community members to get involved. Its mission is to help rescued horses move toward greater liberty and well-being through attentive, compassionate care.
