Kashgar is a brand born out of a passion for travel. In 1989, the founder, Bernard, embarked on a two-year backpacking journey to explore the farthest corners of the world. His adventure led him to the captivating oasis city of Kashgar in China, where he was captivated by its rich history.
Inspired, he decided to start a new chapter of his life: collecting and selling unique and exotic goods from around the globe. Today, Kashgar is a renowned store that offers an extensive range of products sourced from over 20 countries. Their collection includes furniture, rugs, textiles, antiques, handicrafts, and stunning silver and gold jewelry.
Each item is carefully handcrafted and personally collected by the Kashgar team. But Kashgar is more than just a store. With a commitment to supporting traditional artisans and small village communities, they aim to preserve ancient craftsmanship and help ethnic minorities maintain their self-sufficiency.
They collaborate with various organizations to empower and uplift women worldwide. As Kashgar transitions to an online platform, customers can now experience the allure of their unique pieces from the comfort of their own homes. From collectors seeking rare finds to individuals in search of a special gift, everyone will find something captivating at Kashgar.
