Kaskuja Studio is a Finland-based game developer behind Songs of Skydale, an old-school adventure role-playing game released on August 21, 2019 for Windows through Steam. The studio’s game invites players to explore a colorful open world at their own pace, without relying on constant objective markers. Players use paper maps, follow clues, talk with people they meet and discover quests, dungeons and hidden places along the way.

Songs of Skydale offers flexible character creation rather than fixed classes. Players can combine skills, equipment, items and spells to shape a warrior, mage, tank, assassin or another kind of adventurer. Combat is action-oriented, with attacks, blocks, dodges, skills and items used against enemies. The game includes 25 quests, 12 dungeons, 61 items, 14 passive skills and five spells, with an estimated six to 15 hours of gameplay. Quick save and load options and remappable controls are also included. Kaskuja Studio presents the game for players who enjoy discovering a world independently and finding their own path through an adventure.
