Kaslik Alapítvány

The Kaslik Foundation for Talented Children supports young people whose abilities and achievements could benefit from further encouragement. It was established by Józsefné Kaslik, a former educator in Eger, in memory of her daughters, who died tragically in 2004. The foundation’s central program is to award two scholarships each year: the Kaslik Gabi Scholarship, presented in Eger, and the Kaslik Edit Scholarship, presented in Csurgó. Both awards are presented in September.

The scholarships are intended for students who have demonstrated talent through their primary- and secondary-school records and achievements. Applicants may have shown promise in the arts or a scientific discipline, displayed diligence and perseverance in a sport, or won an academic competition in a particular subject. In addition to these accomplishments, the foundation seeks to assist students who face social or financial circumstances that could prevent them from developing their abilities. The Kaslik Foundation for Talented Children’s board of trustees decides who receives the scholarships.
