About Katana
Katana Labs develops a protocol for autonomous fleets, designed to make machine work verifiable, permissioned, and settled on-chain. Its platform connects machine identity, metered charging, task-based micropayments, and scoped permissions, helping operators coordinate fleets without taking custody of their machines.
Each robot can carry a hardware-rooted identity that counterparties can verify on or off the network. The protocol supports metering for power, compute, and airtime, with charges priced before work begins and tracked down to the watt-second. Its payment rails enable one-time Robotics-as-a-Service jobs to settle through sub-cent micropayments when tasks are attested. Permissions can be granted for specific actions, time-limited, revoked, and audited on-chain.
Katana Labs also offers fleet supervision and telemetry tools for streaming, signing, or pinning readings, along with support for task handoffs, attestation, offline operation, and the use of a customer’s own chain. Fleet operators, robot makers, and auditors can use the protocol to deploy machines, build policies, and review recorded decisions.
