Kathrin Boron

Kathrin Boron is an Olympic champion, world champion and career adviser whose life and work are shaped by ambition, courage, teamwork and passion. Born in Eisenhüttenstadt in 1969, she began rowing in 1983 with Potsdam Rowing Club and went on to build an exceptionally long sporting career. Her experience in competitive sport informs her belief that dedication and commitment can help people pursue meaningful goals and lead self-determined lives.

Since January 2023, Boron has worked as a career adviser at the Olympic Training Centre of Lower Saxony. In this role, she brings the lessons of elite sport to career development, drawing on the values and experience gained throughout her athletic journey. She is also a mother to her daughter, Cora, and has lived in Hanover since 2022, while continuing to regard Potsdam as her home.
