Katie Spangenberg

Katherine Spangenberg, also known as katiediazz, is a Germany-based 2D animation and character design artist available for freelance work, both in-house and remotely. Her practice centres on creating imaginative worlds and expressive characters with personality. She offers 2D animation, character design, life drawing and background-related work, and contributes to production teams in animation roles including clean-up and effects.

Her portfolio features work on commercials, campaigns, short films and series. Selected projects include McDonald’s “Happy Meal Changeables,” a GWR and Famous Five film, Starbucks’ “Drink In, Breathe Out” Christmas film, and the RSPCA’s “Save Me.” She has also contributed to “A Paralympic Dream,” “The Wingfeather Saga” and the award-winning animated short “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.” Project credits include clean-up and 2D effects contributions, with her work appearing alongside the efforts of directors, studios and wider animation teams.
