Welcome to Katie's Restaurant and Bar, a beloved neighborhood establishment with a rich history in New Orleans. Founded in 1984 by Mr. Leo Leininger, Katie's is a family-operated restaurant that has been serving the local community for over three decades. The restaurant was named after Mr. Leo's daughter, Cathy, and has remained true to his vision ever since.
Under the leadership of Scot Craig, who took over in 1994, Katie's has evolved into a full-service restaurant and bar. The hard work and dedication of the Craig family have made Katie's a go-to spot for delicious food and warm hospitality. Whether you're craving classic New Orleans cuisine or a mouthwatering pizza from their stone oven, Katie's has something for everyone.
In 2005, Hurricane Katrina dealt a devastating blow to Katie's, but through determination and resilience, the restaurant reopened its doors in 2010, marking a new beginning. Today, you'll still find Scot in the kitchen, Katherine D'Aquin overseeing the dining room and bar, and the rest of the extended Katie's family contributing their talents and love. We invite you to join us at Katie's and experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere that has made us a neighborhood favorite for so many years.
