Katrin Häfner

Katrin Häfner is an independent mobile horse trainer and riding instructor based in Buchen-Eberstadt, Germany. Her work combines horsemanship with classical riding principles, with an emphasis on improving communication, balance and trust between horses and their handlers. She offers ground training, including groundwork leading toward liberty work, as well as neck-rope and free riding.

Other services include confidence and desensitization training, groundwork and ridden gymnastic development, circus skills, trailer-loading support, and training for young horses. Häfner also provides riding instruction, schooling and horse-buying advice, from clarifying a prospective owner’s needs to meeting a potential horse. Her background includes equine-management studies, horsemanship courses based on Pat Parelli’s approach, and ongoing training in the Escola de Equitação program associated with Manuel Jorge de Oliveira.

Individual and group lessons are available, with options to ride a client’s own horse or a school horse; training packages and children’s lessons are also offered. Häfner can arrange horsemanship or groundwork courses at clients’ stables by request
