Kaya ChildCare is an organization dedicated to providing quality early childhood education to the children of Kayayei in Accra. We believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves a strong foundation for education. We work closely with the Kayayoo mothers, who live in urban poverty on less than $1 a day, to support their efforts in raising their children.

Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing space for the children, away from the busy market where their mothers work, allowing the mothers to focus on growing their businesses. We offer a customized blended curriculum that incorporates learning-through-play, as we believe that children learn best when they play. Our approach ensures a smooth transition to learning by using familiar content and tools, connecting to the approved early years curriculum.

We also take care of the children's nutrition and health, providing a full lunch meal and snacks each day, and working with the mothers to address any health or developmental gaps.
