Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF) is a community and tournament organization for kayak bass anglers, founded in 2009 by Chad “Knot Right” Hoover. It brings together more than 100,000 anglers through competitions, online groups, fishing resources and events across the United States. KBF’s challenge series includes state and regional tournaments, monthly online competitions and national events, with formats that allow anglers to submit their best five fish or unlimited catches.
Members can access tournaments, rewards, partner discounts, expert advice and member-only discussions, with options ranging from free participation to annual and lifetime memberships. Programs are available for new anglers, veterans, first responders and other service professionals. KBF also operates an online shop featuring branded apparel and fishing gear, including products from partner brands such as Malone Auto Racks and Suspenz.
Its FishOPS collection supports nonprofits serving veterans and first responders, while KBF promotes conservation and community involvement. Through news, tournament coverage, videos and social channels, the organization helps anglers learn, compete and connect around the sport of kayak bass fishing
