Kurkowe Bractwo Strzeleckie w Wieleniu

Kurkowe Bractwo Strzeleckie w Wieleniu, or the Kurkowe Rifle Brotherhood of Wieleń, is a community organization dedicated to preserving local shooting traditions, patriotism and civic values. Its history dates to 1645, when the brotherhood was founded in Wieleń with the support of local townspeople and royal authority. After periods of disruption caused by historical events, the organization was revived in 1998 and continues to bring generations together through tradition, fellowship and service.

The brotherhood organizes shooting tournaments and commemorative events, including annual Pentecost, harvest and Independence Day shoots. Its activities also promote responsible attitudes, discipline, a culture of safety and knowledge of local history. Alongside training and competitions, members cultivate fraternity, support community life and assist people in need in Wieleń. The organization shares information about its leadership, members, statutes, events and historical archives, and invites guests to participate in its activities. Through these initiatives, the brotherhood connects its heritage with contemporary community engagement and encourages a sense of responsibility toward the homeland.
