The Kenya Catchball Federation (KCF) is the official governing body for the sport of Catchball in Kenya, registered under the Sports Act of 2013. Established in August 2018 by sport enthusiast Shadrack Okello, KCF aims to promote and develop Catchball activities nationwide, focusing on inclusivity for all genders and age groups. The federation currently boasts over 1,500 members and more than 36 teams across 11 counties, targeting youths, women, and men.
Catchball, derived from volleyball, emphasizes teamwork and is designed to be accessible, allowing players of varying skill levels to engage in the game. KCF provides structured training programs for participants aged 10 to 70, divided into categories to enhance competition and development. The federation's mission goes beyond sports, promoting values like exercise, good moral conduct, and community engagement through various initiatives, including health awareness and environmental conservation. KCF is committed to fostering an inclusive and vibrant Catchball culture in Kenya and the East African region, with aspirations to expand into schools and universities.
