About Kansas City
Kansas City Kansas Unified School District 500 is the largest school district in Wyandotte County and the fifth largest in the state of Kansas, with over 22,000 enrolled students. Offering a variety of educational and support services, the district is home to 4 Early Childhood Centers, 28 Elementary Schools, 7 Middle Schools, 5 High Schools, and 6 Alternative Schools/Programs. With a highly diverse student body, the district caters to a wide range of ethnicities and languages, with over 65 languages spoken and represented throughout the entire district.
