The Kenya Civil Society Platform on Oil & Gas (KCSPOG) is a dedicated organization that represents and works on behalf of civil society organizations and leaders in Kenya. While it does not claim to legally represent the citizens of Kenya, it recognizes the importance of accountability to the citizens and those directly affected by the country's oil industry. Through County CSO platforms, citizens and the host community have the opportunity to contribute to the strategies and actions of KCSPOG.

One of the key focuses of KCSPOG is policy surveillance and response, ensuring that the interests of the citizens are protected. They also actively monitor and track the monthly pump prices of oil, keeping the public informed about any fluctuations. Additionally, KCSPOG engages in research and publishing reports, policy briefs, articles, and blogs related to the oil and gas industry in Kenya.

Recently, KCSPOG became part of the Publish What You Pay (PWYP) Kenya Coalition, which is a global movement advocating for an open and accountable extractive industry. Through campaigns, joint advocacy, information sharing, and solidarity, KCSPOG and PWYP work together to ensure that revenues from oil, gas, and mining are utilized for sustainable development in Kenya. With a commitment to transparency and citizen engagement, KCSPOG plays a crucial role in promoting responsible and beneficial practices in the country's oil and gas sector.
