Kipsaina Crane and Wetland Conservation Group was formed with the aim of addressing environmental threats and issues that faced Saiwa Swamp Ecosystem mainly overgrazing, poaching of fuel wood and harvesting of tree products of medicinal value, wildlife poisoning, sand harvesting, overharvesting of wetland vegetation and soil erosion. KCWCG has worked over the entire Western Kenyan watershed with particular attention to communities adjacent to important wetlands. 1.2 million Trees have been grown and planted by the group since its inception.

About Kipasaina Crane and Wetlands Conservation Group
KCWCG (Kipsaina Crane and Wetland Conservation Group) is a community-based organization dedicated to the conservation of cranes and wetlands in the Lake Victoria Basin.
