Kedougou Gold have created a unique window of opportunity in the Republic of Senegal. We have signed JVA’s with artisanal gold miners for mining concession rights, exploration, and exploitation licenses. As well as signed agreements for Quarrying with heavy equipment already in place. There are currently two areas of opportunity. The first is to semi-mechanize existing gold extraction and to process and sell the gold to the open market from artisanal mining concessions within the Kedougou region of the Republic of Senegal. The Company has already invested a significant amount of time and cash in acquiring the relevant equipment and setting up and carrying operations in this area. The second is to carry out basalt quarrying, also in the Kedougou region of the Republic of Senegal, to supply aggregate to the construction industry in Senegal and Gambia. The project has a strong social component and aims to work with the local artisanal miners to substantially increase their production thereby enabling the return of women to agricultural roles, children to schools and out of the labour-intensive artisanal mines and to ensure that mining is carried out in a safe manner. In addition, our methods allow for the removal of the use of mercury to process gold. We are improving the sustainability of Kedougous artisanal mining by introducing safer impactful mercury extraction techniques (Retorts) to the AGMs (Artisanal Gold Miners) and utilising our Mercury free small-scale mining equipment to benefit those concessions we are working alongside Senegal offers a stable economy with a progressive Government looking to encourage investment in this sector. We have a close relationship with the Association of Gold Miners helping secure links between the Ministry of Energy and Mining and the artisanal miners. Investment Gold Project benefits from near surface, low strip, high grade mineralisation on Joint Venture agreement artisanal mining sites which allows for low cost development and production. The Project also has full mining permits on concessions currently being informally but legally mined by artisanal miners, and the Company has signed legal agreements to formalise these arrangements and modernise mining techniques. “Gold is forever.
