Keenan Performance

Keenan Performance Horses is a training and coaching business based in Waikato, New Zealand, helping riders and horses develop their abilities for western performance, reining, and ranch work. Its approach focuses on building a strong, stable foundation intended to support a horse throughout its working and competitive life. Drawing on experience and study in the reining industry, the business aims to make training understandable while helping clients work toward their individual horsemanship goals.

Services include private lessons at a client’s arena or at Oaks End Arena, full-day clinics, remote lessons using Pivo, and training assessments. These options provide different ways for riders to receive instruction, evaluate their horse’s development, and improve their partnership. Private lessons and clinics are also available for clients seeking in-person coaching, with travel costs applying to lessons at a client’s arena. Keenan Performance Horses emphasizes practical coaching and developing the potential of both horse and rider, with the goal of helping them progress toward success in the show pen or on the ranch.
