Keep Arkansas Beautiful

Keep Arkansas Beautiful (KAB) is a community-driven initiative and a division of the Arkansas Department of Transportation. Its mission is to help create a cleaner, greener state by empowering Arkansans to protect and restore the natural beauty of their communities. Through eco-restoration, education, volunteerism, cleanups, recycling, coalition-building and advocacy, KAB supports environmental stewardship across Arkansas.

The organization coordinates the Great Arkansas Cleanup, helping residents find local events or organize their own, and offers volunteer opportunities that can count toward LEARNS Act graduation requirements. Its programs also include litter prevention, recycling education, pollinator health, beautification and conservation education. KAB provides free downloadable K–12 educational resources and offers mission grants of up to $2,500 for eligible projects that benefit the state. Volunteers and affiliates contribute through community events and restoration initiatives, while the organization shares impact reports, event information and resources to help people get involved. Keep Arkansas Beautiful encourages residents to work together to care for outdoor spaces, restore ecosystems and sustain the places that make Arkansas known as The Natural State.
