KeePassXC

KeePassXC is an open-source password manager developed by the KeePassXC Team for people who need secure control over sensitive personal information. Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, the application stores usernames, passwords, URLs, attachments, and notes in an encrypted database file. Users can keep that file wherever they choose, including private or public cloud storage, while KeePassXC itself does not store data on remote servers. The software can also auto-fill passwords in apps, helping make everyday account access more convenient.

Released under the GPLv3 license, KeePassXC is free to use and has no ads or subscriptions. Its source code is publicly available on GitHub for inspection and contributions. The project provides downloads, installation guidance, a user guide, documentation, and frequently asked questions. Version 2.7.9 received a First-level Security Certification (CSPN) security visa from France’s National Cybersecurity Agency, ANSSI.
