Keizer Karel

Volleybal Vereniging Keizer Karel is an inclusive volleyball club in Nijmegen, Netherlands, welcoming LGBTQ+ people and anyone who supports an open-minded, friendly sporting community. The club is for people who enjoy playing volleyball, whether gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, heterosexual, or otherwise, and prioritizes social connection and enjoyable play alongside the sport. Some volleyball experience is helpful, but players do not need to be top-level athletes.

Members can take part in weekly training, voluntary tournaments, and social activities, joining a diverse team that values a safe and supportive environment. Newcomers may attend three free trial training sessions, allowing both the player and the club to assess whether the team is a good fit, including training level and safe participation. The club offers student discounts and a concession arrangement for people on low incomes; for the 2025–2026 season, eligible members pay half the membership fee.

Training takes place on Thursday evenings at Sporthal de Zwaluw
