Keld Heritage Centre is the trading name of Keld Resource Centre Ltd, a registered charity serving the remote rural community of Upper Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales. Working with local partners and the wider community, the organisation celebrates and protects Keld’s heritage while supporting community development and wellbeing.

Visitors can explore the Heritage Centre and Old School Museum, housed in the restored former village school. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission, the museum presents the history of Upper Swaledale and the lives of its farmers and leadminers through local artefacts and exhibitions. The centre also maintains local history archives and offers events, workshops and opportunities to volunteer.

For overnight stays, the former minister’s residence, known as the Manse, is available as a comfortable cottage with modern amenities. Guests and local groups can also book the Upper Room events space for business or social occasions. Donations and subscriber support help the charity develop its facilities, resources and community work.
