Kellarikirkko

Kellarikirkko is a Finnish Christian community and association that welcomes people facing addiction, substance-related challenges, or difficulties managing everyday life, as well as those who do not feel at home in traditional church settings. Its approach is open, compassionate, and inclusive: participants are welcomed as they are, without entry requirements, and supported through fellowship, faith, and shared experience.

The association manages and develops the Kellarikirkko model, trains people to serve in this work, and can establish or support community churches. The model is also available to churches, organisations, and community groups as a form of outreach. Kellarikirkko offers training on addiction, substance awareness, safety, volunteering, prayer, pastoral support, and related issues. Its gatherings may include music, Christian teaching, personal stories, and prayer ministry; the association can also lead spiritual events by invitation. Pastoral counselling therapy is available through three trained pastoral therapists involved in its work.

Kellarikirkko aims to create a caring, participatory community that encourages personal attention, mutual support, spiritual growth, and cooperation across Christian denominations.
