Kempelemaraton

Kempeleen Maratonklubi, abbreviated as KeMaKi, was established in 1985 by three passionate distance runners from Kempele. With a current membership of 35 active participants, the club fosters a vibrant community centered around endurance sports. Membership criteria include completing at least a half marathon in competitive conditions.

The club organizes a range of events that focus on both competitive and recreational running, including the Kempele Marathon, Mourunki Run, Baana Run, and Pertin Hiihto. In addition to these main events, KeMaKi offers training camps, community runs, and collective competitions, aimed at enhancing social interaction and sharing valuable coaching insights among members.

Under the leadership of President Vesa Välipirtti since February 2020, Kempeleen Maratonklubi actively promotes the spirit of endurance sports through collaboration and shared experiences. For further engagement and updates, members and interested participants can connect via Facebook or email.
