Ken Follett

Ken Follett is a highly acclaimed and successful author, known worldwide for his captivating storytelling. Born in Cardiff, Wales on June 5th, 1949, Ken's passion for writing was nurtured during his education at state schools and later at University College, London, where he earned an Honours degree in Philosophy.

Ken's career began as a reporter, and he later joined Everest Books, gradually rising to the position of Deputy Managing Director. His breakthrough came with the publication of Eye of the Needle in 1978, a gripping World War II thriller that won the prestigious Edgar Award for Best Novel. One of Ken's most beloved works is The Pillars of the Earth, an epic novel set during the construction of a medieval cathedral, which reached number one on best-seller lists and was adapted into a popular television series.
