Kendleshire Kids Foundation #GolfForGood

The Kendleshire Kids Foundation is a registered charity based in Coalpit Heath, using golf to support children and young people who have experienced adversity, trauma or other adverse childhood experiences. Its mission is to provide a safe, welcoming place that inspires hope and helps young people build healthy, positive futures. The foundation’s “Golf for Good” programme uses the facilities of The Kendleshire Golf Club, specialist coaches and one-to-one mentoring to engage participants and support their development.

Golf is a tool for building resilience and self-esteem, encouraging teamwork, teaching life skills and promoting physical health. The charity describes its approach as trauma-responsive and aims to help vulnerable and disadvantaged young people overcome challenges and reach their potential. Referrals are accepted from schools and other avenues, with no stated time restriction on participation.

The foundation also offers opportunities for volunteers and welcomes donations to help connect with and support young people. It works with partners and an experienced team, and shares safeguarding and other organisational policies on its website
