Kendo Club Obernai is a welcoming martial arts club in Obernai, France, offering kendo and iaido to children, teenagers and adults. With more than 25 years of experience, the club aims to help members grow, build confidence and progress through practice grounded in respect, concentration and mutual support. Its five experienced, qualified instructors lead eight sessions each week, with teaching adapted to different ages and skill levels.
Children can start from age five, while iaido is available from age 16. The club welcomes complete beginners as well as experienced practitioners, and members can join throughout the year. For children, kendo provides an educational activity focused on confidence, respect and concentration; teenagers can challenge themselves and share strong values in a supportive group.
Adult beginners can take up the practice at their own pace. Iaido offers a complementary traditional discipline centred on precision, calm and harmony. Newcomers can attend three free trial sessions, and the necessary equipment is lent to them, making it easy to discover the club without commitment
