日本健康麻将協会　本部事務局

The Japan Health Mahjong Association (日本健康麻将協会) is dedicated to promoting a unique form of mahjong that emphasizes health and community engagement. Established in 1988, the association promotes "health mahjong," which is defined by the principles of "no gambling, no drinking, and no smoking." This approach not only fosters a supportive environment for participants but also encourages socialization and mental well-being, particularly among the elderly.

The association offers a variety of services, including health mahjong classes, events at certified venues across Japan, and opportunities for certification and competitive play. Participants can engage in national open tournaments and earn rankings, with the chance to aspire to higher dan levels as they improve their skills.

Recognized as a key activity in promoting health and social interaction, health mahjong has gained popularity and respect, now featured in events organized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Through its initiatives, the Japan Health Mahjong Association strives to enhance the quality of life and foster friendships among players of all ages.
