The Ken Lantzy All-Star Classic is a celebrated annual football event inspired by the legacy of Ken Lantzy, a promising athlete from Cambria Heights High School who was tragically injured during a game in 1970. In honor of Ken, the Cambria Area Football Coaches Association (CAFCA) organized this benefit game to assist the Lantzy family with their overwhelming medical expenses. Since its inaugural match in 1971, the event has grown significantly, uniting high school football talent from across the region.
The classic not only supports local athletes by showcasing their skills but also promotes community spirit and charitable efforts. Over the years, all proceeds have been funneled into a trust fund assisting families in need, while also supporting local charities. The event now features talented All-Star teams selected from various schools, drawing thousands of enthusiastic fans each year.
The Ken Lantzy All-Star Classic proudly stands as a testament to resilience, community support, and the love of the game
